Baby 411 E-News: Breaking News---Prevnar vaccine shortage ends
The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for
Disease Control announced today that the supply of
Prevnar, the vaccine that protects infants from
meningitis and other serious infections, is improved.
Babies who were unable to receive their 3rd booster
dose at 6 months up to 23 months of age should return
to their medical provider to get that dose.
Parents should contact their childs doctor to get
specific details on the office procedure for getting
the vaccine.
