we bought the crib and a double dresser for around $800. we got it in the Honey (almost a natural pine finish) since our local store had it on stock. We really like the sturdiness of both pieces. Serenity crib does not have any moving parts - no drop gates or rails. It may be a challenge for a shorter parent to put their child down if they are asleep. The crib converts from a crib to a toddler bed without any extra parts. You do need to purchase the rails in order to convert it to a full size bed. We are very happy with our purchase.
