would you buy clothes for your little one? Today at Gymbo they had the zip stripped cartigan from puppy love. I couldn't resist and bought it but it is a size 4!! Lucy is only 5 months! DH thinks I have lost my mind but I really love that line and was pg (didn't know what I was having) when it came out. I know I can get stuff on ebay but it was a great price($10 something)....I just couldn't leave it there. Am I crazy??

There's nothing wrong with thinking ahead! ;)
I bought the red raincoat from the Whale Watching line for DD in 18-24 months, hoping she can wear it next winter. It was a good deal that I couldn't resist.

I think the most ahead I have bought is 2 years, but I can't say I blame you - Puppy Love was my favorite line of the past year and between the 2 girls, I think we bought out the line! My only advice is not not to stash it away to the point where you forget that you have it! Enjoy!

I think the only place that I would buy something far in advance is Talbots Kids b/c as long as you keep the receipt it's returnable. I have a bag in DD's closet in which I keep receipts in.
If you really love it, there's no harm in getting it. If it doesn't fit, no big whoop you can either sell or save it for the next kid.

Well, I have a Hanna playdress/leggings combo hanging in her closet in a size 100! I guess that's around 3 years old and she is almost one. :) But it's the beautiful light blue & white and I was afraid they wouldn't do it again and that was the smallest size left when they were on sale.
Oh, and you can pretty much guarantee that she'll wear the sweater you got. Most children stay in the bigger sizes for a year so you'll get a summer & winter in size 4! :)

I bought about 10 pieces of Whale Watching in size 3 when Charlotte was about a month old - it was just too cute! I figure with a size 3, she should be able to fit into it at some point during the year.
I'm so bad, I've already bought outfits from 9-12 to 18-24 at Gymbo. They are just too cute! I justify it by waiting until things are way reduced. That way if she doesn't fit it's not the end of the world. Plus between loops & eBay there is always a market out there for Gymbo stuff & Hannas. (I just got a Hanna order with 3 outfits - a size 70, 80 & 90. Couldn't leave them with the code!!)
I have no idea if I will get burnt, but I am definately addicted to infant clothes shopping!

Kaitlin is 17 months & I have bought things from Gymbo in size 3 & one thing from LE in size 4! I loved some of the Strawberry Patch stuff that was only for big girls so I had to get it. You're definitely not crazy & imagine how thrilled you'll be on that far off day in the future to see your child wearing it.
