Before I go buy all the Gymbucks stuff I've got on hold, I think I need to do a reality check. DD is 20lbs and 27.5" at 6 months. (Yep, she's a big, healthy girl!!) She currently fits well into Gymbo's 6-12 month size and is still wearing 6-9 months in the layette pieces.

I've been buying 12-18 months for Fall. Does that sound right? Won't she slow down on the weight gain a little when she starts crawling? And don't the Gymbo leggings and pants run just a tad long? Or am I just kidding myself?

Aaargh! Why does this have to be so difficult?

I think buying 12-18months for fall is a smart idea. if need be, leggings can either be rolled at the cuff or at the waist to shorten them and sleeves on l/s tops can be rolled up too. that way you'll get longer use out of the clothes.

just my 2cents :)

I would definitely buy 12-18 months, I know it seems strange with a 6 month old but my Avery :) was just a tad bigger than yours when she was 6 months and the 12-18 months made it through most of the fall and winter.

Have fun shopping!

I would definitely go with the 12-18mos. My dd is currently around 21 lbs, 30" and the 12-18 stuff still has a bit of growing room. Even if her growth slows as she begins to crawl, she'll still be the right size for the 12-18. If you go with the 6-12, I think you'll be regretting it in September!

Those responses were VERY helpful! I want to believe that the 12-18 will get us through the winter, but when she's been growing an inch a month, it's just a little scary to guesstimate! lol

I feel much better now. Thanks again.

I think my Ds was 12-18 until we started using cloth diapers, then I upped him to 18-24 (just after he turned a year). He stayed that size all the way until just after age two!

My DS is 17 pounds and 27" at 4 month. He is now overgrowing his 3-6 month and the rest of the summer will be probably in 9-12 and 60 in Hanna.
I bought tons of 12-18 for this fall/winter/spring. IMO it's the most popular size so if you want something - get it now. I think it will never be a problem going one size down.

I feel like I can speak with some authority here as our DD's share a b-day and DD was 27" at 6 months too. I bought all 12-18 gymbo stuff for her first fall winter and it made it through till spring. In DD's case she was a little longer in the torso and some of the cuffed style pants were a little longer on her but she was also much thinner so I think that was part of the problem. She didn't have enough butt to hold them up. :) The 12-18 month leggings fit her fine as did the shirts. I really liked the leggings because if they are a little long they kind of scrunch up at the ankle and they're not tripping over them like the wider pants.
