Anybody heard of this? I was looking for coats on eBay for Sophie and came across several of them in infant sizes. There were pictures of the tags, and sure enough, they were BR!

I googled, but couldn't find anything else about this new prospect.

How cool would THAT be?!

That would be very cool! I have often wished that there would be BR baby and an Ann Taylor baby!

I am off to google

A friend of a friend got a ton of BR baby clothes at her shower including a teensy cashmere sweater. That would have been back in March, so I don't know whether it was something they tried and it didn't work out or what. I can ask my friend to find out where she got the stuff if you'd like.

They were test marketing it several months ago in some of the Chicago stores. I thought the prices were outrageous, so I didn't really check it out. :)

I got a whole BR outfit as a baby gift. Tiny red cashmere cardigan, red cashmere pants, red cashmere socks, and a striped cotton onsie to match. I found it online at BR, but have never seen baby clothes in the stores.

Oh yeah, and it's outrageously priced.

ETA: We had his 3 mth photos done in the outfit. This is the only one I have saved on my computer, so you can't see the cashmere. Oh well.

BR has done a small line of baby clothes for the holidays for at least the past two years. I bought a little kilt, cable sweater and cable knit hat for Ava last winter. They usually have a coat and several cashmere items also. I've never seen them any other time, though, but it would be cool if they added kids clothes to their regular line!!

Yep, I have only ever seen the BR baby clothes around the holidays. I really, really wanted the kilt and a cashmere sweater for DD, but DH threatened me with divorce, so I passed, ;) I would LOVE it if they came out with a line of infant's and children's clothing--then my DD and I could match, since 95% of my wardrobe comes from BR! :)

Last fall my local Ann Taylor had a few baby clothes. I think there were only sweaters, blankets and matching hats in pastels and ivory. They were pretty cute, but I can't remember what they were made of- either an angora or cashmere blend, I think. I asked about them and I think the girl told me it was something they were starting, but I haven't seen anything since.

Nate has an AT Loft sweater. It's really cute -- red with a hood, zip front and cables down the front. It's HUGE though. It's a size 12-18 months and he's still wearing it with room to spare. I bought it last spring. They said that they were test marketing the concept. I wonder if it will take off? I bought it because it was cute, versatile and on sale. I don't think I would have paid the original price for the piece though.
