View Full Version : Kansas City (and nearby ) Moms - What are your kids wearing?

I checked the weather for next week and it's all over the map. I am having trouble deciding whether or not I should bring her fall clothes. The only thing I know for sure is the 10 swimsuits I packed between her and I is overkill now that we are no longer going to the beach (or so it appears.) So what do you think?

Veronica, we had a spit of rain today so it has cooled things off. Normally right now, KC would be beastly hot, but it's been a fabulous summer. Starting tomorrow into next week, temps should be in the 70s, peaking at low 80s (peak is around 4-5 PM). And sunny--which is the best weather. So springy weather in the high 70s with sun--perfect weather!! :) Be sure and let me know when you are coming and I will email you my phone number so we can chat! :)

My suggestion is to pack short sleeve shirts and a sweater to go over them. It is often cool in the mornings this time of year, but by afternoon it is way too hot for long sleeves. I have been putting my dd in light weight pants because of skinned knees more than weather. Enjoy the midwest!

Here in St. Louis it's been mostly low 80s for highs recently - There's a little bit of a chill in the air, though, so I recommend bringing layers!!! That way you'll be prepared for anything, for hot and sunny to cloudy and chilly. DH describes what we're having as "college football weather." :)

Veronica - Jake is wearing short rompers or shorts and a tshirt most every day. It does get cool in the evenings or early mornings, but we aren't out much then. If we are, we somtimes put him in long pants or a long shirt, but rarely both right now. For next week the weather report I saw is calling for temps running right around 80 during the day. I'm sending you a pm w/ my number in case you have time and want to get together!
