what has been done on other boards is to start a chain. The 5 people that sign up for you all post their invites and then the 6th through the 10th person who sign up uses the invite from your first person, and so on.

It works until we get to the end of the chain and no one else wants to sign up and then the last 5 people don't get their card unless they can find 5 friends elsewhere.
