I just found some of the most adorable sandals for DD at Target and snatched up two pairs. Up to this point, I have only done Keds, Stride Rite and Naturino shoes, but I really love these Target sandals for matching certain outfits. Are Target shoes okay if she doesn't wear them everyday? Or is her foot going to turn to stone and fall off! lol

My kids pediatrician always told me barefoot is best!! I really don't think Target shoes will hurt your DD! I know plenty of mommies who buy shoes at Target. Just because its a name brand or expensive doesn't mean its necessarily better or that the less expensive is bad for you! If they are cute and will match outfits go for it!

We've had really good luck with Target shoes. One pair of tennies have been through mud, getting wet, and lots of running at the park and she has worn them daily for the past 3 months. The only reason we need to get new ones is that she's outgrown them, lol! So I think you should go for it, the prices are fabulous too!

I think so, definitely. My issue w/Target shoes is that they never fit her feet right ...I can't tell you how many pairs I have bought and then returned! But if I could find a $10 pair of sandals that fit her feet, I'd be all over it, since they get so trashed during the summer.

My ped told me yesterday that the specialists over at Children's Memorial (Chicago) swear that there's no difference between shoes at Target and higher end shoes like SR and Elefanten. So, not only are Target shoes OK, according to him, they are just as good -- it's all marketing, otherwise.

He did recommend staying in Robeez-style for as long as possible, however.
