My dd has eczema and it seems like it is now only where she sweats. So the folded areas.
Any ideas to keep her cool, not irritated? We are going to FL soon and it get's plenty hot here in the summer.

I would say just make sure you dress her in all cotton. The Hanna Andersson bold striped rompers would probably be perfect. They are 100% cotton, very soft, and nice and roomy so the air can circulate.

My DD has this problem too. It hasn't been too warm here yet, but she often gets bad eczema behind her knees. My ped actually recommended Hannas for the eczema because they are soft. I've also found that putting Baby Gold Bond powder behind her knees and in the folds of her neck really helps with the irritation. Even though her skin's really sensitive, the powder doesn't bother her. And it's cornstarch based so you don't have to worry about the talc issue. HTH!

Definitely avoid synthetic clothing in favor of all cotton.

I also reccomend Hannas! Their cotton is so soft and washes well. Have you had your daughter tested for allergies? Allergies are often the root cause of alot of eczema cases. Beware - buying Hanna Andersson is addictive! :)

This will not be a clothes recommendation (because pp have said it all - Hanna), but my suggestion (living in FL year round) is to keep her hydrated by giving her cool if not ice-cold water. I do that constantly with ds and his skin is incredibly clear. He still gets eczema spots here and there, but nothing compared to what it could be. I started by giving him ice chips and now he'll ask for ice water all the time. HTH!
