It's PJ time!

The 3rd Reality Layette Photo Challenge will focus on our all-favorite PJ photos. Be sure to let us know where you bought them, too!

I apologize for the delay in posting the challenge. I went out of town earlier this week then I got caught up in the Hanna sale yesterday!

Past guidelines for posting pictures include the following:

- try to have your largest side be no more than 400.
- embedded pictures are preferred. If possible, try to upload to a photo hosting site such as photobucket.com where you can embed the photos in the post but not take up bandwidth on this board.
- ideally, you should use pictures taken for the challenge.
- if you use any creative cropping or editing techniques, be sure to tell us what you did so that we can all learn from you!

Happy picture taking!

Hmmm, I guess everyone is on vacation this week! Well, here's my PJ contribution. I almost missed this shot - I'm used to DD climbing onto the kitchen cart, but then DH commented, "You won't be able to fit in there for long!" So I thought I'd better capture the moment. :0)

The PJs are from baby Gap - got 'em on sale for 4.97!

I took this one of Meredith yesterday just for the challenge. She'd nodded off in the swing (and in her Hanna short zippers) and had just put her hands behind her head--too funny. It was time for her to get up for mass anyway (hmm . . . it's usually her waking us up, though) so I took the pic without fear. The flash didn't even wake her! LOL

I took this first picture last week while staying at my parents cabin. It is so hard to get them both in a picture sometimes! They are wearing their Christmas Hannas. Kate is thinking "get off my head already!"

This one I took when I checked on DS before going to bed last night. It's blurry because I was holding his bedside lamp in one hand to shine on his face and couldn't hold the camera still enough one handed! He's wearing Hanna short johns. Notice his blankie (calls it buddy) on his chest/arm. His thumb falls out of his mouth once he's really asleep.

Well, she is not wearing pajamas, but she is asleep. I took this last week at the zoo, napping in her stroller.

We had a doctor's appointment this morning...DS's 2 month check-up, so that meant shots! I just kept him in his PJ's since he had an early appointment, and because these zippers are great for easy on-easy off. These are Hanna zippers (size 60, so they're a little big-the cuffs are folded to the max!).

Here he is in the car before the doctor's visit:

Karen, what a beautiful picture! I need to remember the power of the close-up, when I take pictures of DD.

I have found that digital cameras make me lazy. I don't make the effort to compose shots like I used to with film, assuming that I can crop them later.

Once I realized that, I started making an effort to compose my shots as if I were using film. This picture was a result of that. The pic is just as it was shot, no cropping at all.

I was watching a friend take pics, and she shot 6 pics of the same scene, and then right there on her camera decided which one to keep and deleted the rest. What a great idea! I've mean meaning to do that too. . .

>>I have found that digital cameras make me lazy.

How true! I think I shoot better when I know that I'm going to have to go thru the trouble of developing the film (and of course film costs more anyway). And for me there's the added wrinkle that my digital camera is just a little point-and-shoot with low res, whereas i have a nicer SLR with zoom and stuff. But, it's a poor workman who blames his tools. :0)

Man, I have had more computer problems this week or else I'd have posted this days ago. It isn't a brillant photo although I did "clone" a red spot off her face. I like the pink PJ's like these better though. They are the Carter's 3 piece set from Costco. What I really enjoyed was watching her "read" her books, although you can only see the one in this picture.
