to go with a polo-style sweater and khaki's (with a light texture)?
It's for an informal wedding.

I was hoping for something along the color of these:

However, Ds actually already has these shoes in a navy blue, and are they too casual?

I really like this style, but black seems like it would not go well, and not appropriate for theoutfit or season(july)?

These?

(seem impractical, like he would not get much wear out of them since we rarely dress up).

Too dark?

If you can't tell, I am sticking pretty much to stride rite b/c I will be shopping at their outlet. Last year he always wore his suede hiking boots and under pants they passed for dressier shoes! LOL.

TIA!

what about a closed toe fisherman-type sandal? since the wedding is july, i think this would be appropriate. plus your son will be able to use them throughout the summer. (this is stride rite guppy or first mate)

good luck!

I have been thinking about your shoe situation and as I put DS into his fisherman sandals this morning, it made me think of you. I second the fisherman sandals. I bought DS a cute pair of leather boat type shoes at Target for around $10 or so and he wears these for church, etc.. But since you already have the sandals, save yourself the money. :)

I just put my ds in his Guppy sandals and the Gymbo Mini-Golf outfit (the Easter boys layette line) this morning. Looked great!

I was thinking of fisherman sandals also. My ds wears them with almost all of his outfits! The only ones he wears tennies with is the most casual outfits.
