This may be old news...

Yesterday I went to the gymboree outlet and was happy to find out that they have introduced their own lines! They have remade some of the most popular lines but switched up the colors. The "new 2005" version of pupply love in a pretty blue and brown with the cutest hair accessories! The price points were about $3.00-$5.00 less than a regular gymboree store. (Leggings were about $9.99.)

I talked to the sales manager and she said the only down side is that they will no longer receive clearance from the stores. To counter act the stores having to hold on to their clearence she said they will be having more of the "Red Dot" bin sales. She said Gymboree is test marketing this for a year to see how things do in the outlets and stores.

Also news for Michigan the outlet that is to open in Birch Run is supposed to be much larger than any of their stores and carry "test" market clothing. Kinda like a tier one outlet.

As much as I hate all the marketing plans Gymbo comes up with I am really excited about what the outlet had and I like the "red dot" sales in the stores.

What's the difference in quality? I'm jealous of all of the people who have access. I checked ebay and there are about 6 listings of things from the outlet lines. Not very representative I'm sure. I wonder if they will sell them online anywhere?

Now I want to know where the clearance that doesn't sell in the stores is going!!!

To date they only have three outlet stores total (yeah, only three! :( )
They are located in:
The Mall at the Source, Westbury, New York
Great Lakes Crossing outlet mall in Auburn Hills, Michigan
Prime Outlet Center in Jeffersonville, Ohio

Hopefully they'll start opening more across the country.
The first one only just opened in June last year.

It is my understanding that the quality will be somewhat less, like it is with the Gap Outlet merchandise and many of the other outlet merchandise.

I was just at the Prime Outlets in Hagerstown, MD and they are opening a store there too. There was no date, but the "Coming Soon, Gymboree Outlet" sign was on the door. Hagerstown is about 60-65 miles west of DC and Baltimore.

It's a great mall, they also have The Children's Place, Carter's, Osh Kosh, Gap, April Cornell, Stride Rite and Little Me.

There's one opening in Kenosha, WI on September 23.

Ooh, that's good to know. We usually go up to Gettysburg, but Hagerstown is probably not much further.

thanks!

just be careful when you are buying gymbo from ebay. since the lines look very similar, some sellers don't distinguish. one of my girlfriends bought some stuff from ebay and didn't realize it was the cheaper line! buyers beware....
