View Full Version : Does your baby wear their Zippers out of the house?

I'm wondering if Hannah Anderson Zippers look too much like pajamas for a 5 month old baby (like I didn't bother to get my daughter dressed in the morning ;))--or if you all think they look cute enough that they can be worn out of the house like an outfit with some Sweedish Moccs. ?

i didn't have zippers for my babes, but since my 19 month old and my 3 1/2 year old went to panera bread this morning at 7am in their old navy and austin and ashley two piece pjs, i think i DEFINITELY would take a 5 month old out in a zipper!!!

(BTW, i was sleeping when DH did this... i would have at least dressed the 3 year old!)

Yes! They can wear them anywhere I'd say. I like to get my errands done pretty early in the morning and Peyton has been everywhere in zippers and mocs.

Now he's wearing the long johns as pjs and I still take him out.

I think they are fun, comfy, and cute and actually people often say how cute his "outfit" is.

These days I'm tired and pregnant so I usually still have my pjs on too. Nobody tells me I'm cute though.

DS wore zippers out of the house when he was older than that. We weren't hanna converts until he was in 70s. I would not hesitate whatsoever with a 5 month old!! Especially with some swedish mocs for sure ;)

That's one of the best parts of them IMO. Enjoy!

I didn't. But DH and I are both pretty weird about jammies in the house, clothes outside the house. We have a set of comfy real clothes (long sleeve tees and flannel pants) that we put on the kids when we think they'll fall asleep on the way home.

But I admit, we're really weird about it and have been since they were infants. No Carter's sleepers outside the house, either.

DS would wear them outside the house sometimes. My rationale has always been that if you're paying that much for a garment, you should get as much use out of it as possible!

we didn't start hanna till close to 9 months. personally, i wouldn't hesitate to bring a 5 mo old out in a zipper. I think around the time that he was getting mobile (crawling, etc) is when I moved more towards real clothes only during the daytime.

My eldest Dd rarely wore them out but the little one has hardly worn anything else! People go CRAZY for the orange/yellow one.
Now that she's 1 (!) she's gradually wearing real clothes.....still wears zippers around the house though.

I probably had DD wearing them out regularly until she was at least 1. Esp with a matching pilot hat...they are CUTE! If we're running out somewhere really early in the am sometimes she still goes out in them...and she's almost 2! Like someone else said, when you're paying $36 for pj's you've got to get your money's worth ;)

For sure! I would def take her out in a zipper....they are so cute! And I would not hesitate at 5 months especially!

Echoing the PPs - you can definitely take her out in her Zippers. DD gets compliments on her zippers all the time when we take her out. We love the look so much that she was in a Zipper (and also a Hanna dress) for her 3 1/2 month professional pics. They were adorable!

My girls both wore HA zippers out and about for a long time. I never think poorly of a parent with a little baby out in PJs. I think the baby's comfort, warmth, uninterrupted nap, whatever, are more important than what s/he is wearing.

My son wore his zippers out once in awhile. It was especially easy for getting him dressed/undressed at the doctor's office when he was sick.

I was about to ask a similar question - do any of you do - or not do - footed sleepers out of the house on a 6 month old? Some of DD's footed PJs are so darn cute, I am tempted to haul her around town in them!

Oh, and we definitely do zippers outside!

I've been wondering about this too. My friend was complaining about using the zippers for sleepwear. She said that her daughters feet got cold and she didn't like the fact that she had to unzip the whole outfit to change a diaper. If zippers are not convenient sleepwear for babies, then I'm not sure if I want to get them if they can't be worn outside the home.

I used to take my kids out in their zippers all the time before they were one or so. Lots of morning Starbucks runs. So much so that the barristas called my kids the striped kids!
