Has anyone had a pair of these for their dc?:

We don't have a great need for water shoes, but I'm wondering if these might make a good pair of tennies to wear without socks during the summer. We have a pair of leather fisherman sandals, but we need another pair of summer shoes and I would prefer closed toe. I'm considering a pair of Keens, but these are half the price and I think they'd look good with shorts and beach pants as well.

We had them last year and loved them. Wore them with and without socks, just as tennies. Soles were very flexible. I am slightly disappointed with the design changes this year - I think they made them look more like water shoes and less like tennies and don't think they're as cute - but they're still cute, and I'm considering getting a pair again, even though I'm not as thrilled with this year's design. I kind of wish LE didn't feel like they need to "improve" everything constantly.

We had them last year (DS and I) and loved them. Used them with/without socks, as water shoes and as tennies. DS's feet sweat alot so the mesh was nice and airy and also light in weight.
The old style is in Overstocks right now (limited sizes) for $9.99.

We had last year's style and while they were mainly used as water shoes, they were worn a lot as regular shoes. We'd put them on in the morning if it was a water day and he'd wear them all day long.

Last year's are on overstocks for $9.99.

I know...I need a toddler size 8, though and they are not available. :( I keep checking to see if they'll somehow come back.

Thank you everyone for the responses! I'm glad that they get positive reviews. I agree that last year's were cuter, but these will do ok, I think! It drives me crazy too when LE changes a perfectly good product!

Thanks for the tip to check Overstocks. I need a Toddler 8.5 or 9 for DS and there aren't any available!
