View Full Version : Is there any way to fade a pair of pants?

I bought some pants from lands end. They are a bit darker than I expected (the color is the color of a dark chochalate bar instead of the color of a piece of fudge if that makes sense). I washed them once but they did not fade any. Is there anyway to fade them? Should I wash them with bleach? Or will that just leave a bunch of white streaks? I want some way to uniformly fade them (if it is possable that is).

Thanks,

Jessica.

I feel like if you maybe added a cup of bleach to a full load of water and maybe stirred it around some.... or let it agitate for a minute and then added the pants you might get the fading that you want! I am not positive though! Good luck

I would suggest washing them on the hottest setting in your washer. I washed a pair of pants with some towels on the sanitary cycle of our machine last week and they really lost a lot of color. I was a little disappointed, because it was not intentional. They still look nice, just not the same color.
