Looking for inexpensive but cute rain/mud boots for 2yo DS. I like the LE ones but was looking for more like Target price range. Any recommendations?

I am no help with your budget. I just bought both my kids Crocs boots. I cannot wait to get them. They are SO cute and bright. I bought rainboots ONCE and they both just kick them off OUTSIDE and they are so uncomfortable, so my kids won't wear them.

You can get rainboots at Walmart for dirt cheap.

I bought my son an adorable rain outfit at Marshall's (for the boots) and Ross (for the matching jacket). Their made from Western Cheif and it's a fireman theme. My mom picked up the boots about 2 weeks ago for $12 and then a couple of days ago I went into Ross and they had a matching jacket (It is awesome with the clips and reflective tape) for $8. How do you beat $20? My son also loves to wear them.

They have adorable ones at Target back in the gardening section.

We get them out a handful of times a year so I am very happy with the boots for the price ($15). They do what they need to do and they look cute. :)

These are the ones I bought ds:

Smallest size is 8/9. ETC- actually, it looks like they come in even smaller toddler sizes too (like 6/7). Check the store. Also, if you just search Target's website for "rain boots" you'll come across their other toddler rain boot designs. There are 5 different ones, maybe 6. That link:

Do you live near a Fleet Farm or a store that's similar? They usually have cute rain boots.

Otherwise, I'd recommend Target. My DD LOVES her boots she got last year from there.

I just bought my daughter some really cute ones at Bob stores. Since they are in the same chain as Marshalls and TJ Maxx, they might be the same as the PP mentioned at Marshalls.

I saw some cute raincoat/boot sets at BJ's for $16.99. They had girls and boys, and the sizes were 2T-6X, I think.

Have you tried Target? They had a bunch of cute ones in the fall.

Old Navy had only the army/camo rain boots for toddlers and our Target had only the girls' boots - no fair!

Does anyone know of reasonably priced rain boots in a fun (boy) print or in a solid color that isn't pink or purple???

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply, Beth. I actually had seen it and that's why I ran straight to Target, only to find nothing at all in stock for boys.

With the free shipping for shoe orders over $25, I may just have to order them!

Right now DS wears a 7 1/2 in shoes. Would you recommend going up a size, or would they just fall off of his feet?

Thanks so much!

I like several of them and might place an order right away. Would you recommend sizing up? DS currently wears a 7.5 and I want the boots neither to hurt his feet nor to fall off!

Thanks,

Stephanie

We have been stuck on the borderline the past 2 years on the boots and I have bought the size up each time. They have been fine- stayed on his feet w/o trouble and he wasn't tripping over them. Did you go back to the garden section? Their whole "Be Good To Bugs" stuff is where they keep more boots. I think there may even be some in sporting goods.

I saw some at Joann Fabric on Thursday -- but I didn't see the price. (All the spring outdoor stuff was 50% off though.)

I was reading reviews on Zappos and it seems like people do get them a bit bigger to allow their use for the entire season.
