what does your 4 year old boy wear for dressy summer shoes?

as in, to church with seersucker shorts and a polo shirt? shoes? sandals? he wears a size 12 or 12.5 and looks like he is 5 1/2 years old.

At our church fisherman sandals would be on the well dressed kids and regular athletic looking sandals on everyone one else :D We live in a hot climate so no one would bat an eye at sandals.

DS is 2.5, but we had fisherman sandals last year and again this year and he will wear them to church all summer.

Matthew has a pair of white and navy saddle shoes, courtesy of the Children's Place. We got a size 11. Not sure how big they run but the price is right, considering they are around $13-$14. For Palm Sunday, he has an argyle styled polo paired with seersucker bermuda shorts. On Easter, he is wearing a seersucker suit with a linen shirt and yellow/blue tie. Yes,after being here for 9 years we are almost Southern. ;)

I also plan on getting him a pair of brown fisherman style sandals.

FAB-ulous!! i found some taupe bucks at children's place in a size 12 for $9.99!!!

his feet are just too big for fisherman sandals- i can't find any in size 12 except pricey stride rite. and frankly, while he said he liked his brothers, he told he did NOT want any for himself. but he LOVES his "church shoes" i got last night. so yay!!!

Not to sound completely clueless but what socks do most kids wear with shorts and bucs? My husband always wears little white short socks but I haven't really paid much attention to what young boys wear since we've been in sandals up until this year. We have the Stride Rite fisherman sandals (my son is 4.5 years and a 12 1/2) but I'm just afraid he may want something a little older for this summer.

schuyler wore socks that matched the shoes today- the fold over kind. i wasn't sure what color to do- tan or white. but dh picked them out so i wasn't about to change them. they looked fine.
