Do you think that calling one of the outlets and just telling them a size I need is the best way to find these? Or will the regular stores have some too? Will the regular store have them on sale?

Thanks Michele

They've been recalled because of issues with flame retardant. There was a post about it a few months ago. They are supposedly redesigning and will be available again sometime. Your best bet would be to call customer service and ask what's going on.

You likely won't find them at all at the outlets or in stores this summer. They were pulled because of fire safety laws and likely won't be back in stores until they are revised/redesigned. You're best bet is to search places like ebay. I was able to find 3 pairs of NWT SJ's in the size I needed for DS.

Has anybody tried these from Lands End?

The price is reasonable and most things I've ordered from Lands End are good quality.

I just found a gymboree outlet near me and they had some size 6 and 7's so I got some of those.

Anyone else considering working up the nerve to defile their getting-out-grown Long Johns by turning them into Short John's?

I am pretty bummed about the lack of HA short johns this summer! Wish I had known that was coming!

I bought a 2-pack of shortie PJs from miniboden, and 2 pairs of Gap long johns. In both cases, I sized way up (3Ts for my 22 m.o) and they are still moderately snug (just not too short in the torso or skin tight)

We have the LE shortie jammies and like them. DS had a pair ov the striped ones when he was younger and I just vound another pair at the Inlet. Same style as the ones you posted, just stripes. You do need to size up a bit to get them to not be skin tight uncomvortable. I would size maybe only 1 size up though - DS is wearing a 4/5 mostly in LE now and the size 6 pair I bought is still pretty big, especially in the waist ov the bottoms.

Spoke with Hanna customer service, they told me short johns should be out in the fall catalog which usually comes out in mid-July.

Has anyone ordered the ones from CWDkids?? I think they have two brands--Sara's prints and basic kids or basic something?
