OUCH!!!!! DD using me as a teeting ring - HELP!

Sorry to say I haven't been here for the last month - finished my masters, bought a house, planning a move and the best part is that thanks to Mother's Milk tea, the "girls" are still working, however . . . .

Lucy is 4.5 months and is using my nipples as a teething ring. Bottom line, I'm reeeaaaaalllly sore. Any advice from other nipples that have gone before mine?

Several posters here have suggested to press her face into your breast and say no when she does that. She cannot chew on you when she cannot breathe.

She will get the message pretty quickly that you are not her teether.

Andrew was older when he first started biting me. I thought I was going to pull his face in, but when it happened I screamed b/c it took me by surprise he let go and cried for a minute then started eating again. The next couple of times were over a few weeks so I was never expecting it and I screamed each time so I never handled it like the books say, but he only did it 3-4 times. A few times I would feel him start and stop he before he got started.
