My mother ordered DD a Leapster L-Max which arrived yesterday. The tape on the box is broken and there appears to be something missing (extra space in the box), although the console and pieces are still wrapped and sealed and have obviously not been opened. Can someone tell me what is supposed to be in the box?

In the box there was the console, the tv cables and the instructions/warranty information. It seems like there should be an A/C adaptor or something? Is our system complete?

I had to go check the parents guide to be sure but it doesn't seem to come with an AC adapter. They are sold separately.

As far as I remember, the only thing that comes with the L-max is the console and the cord to plug it into the TV. The cover that goes over the screen may be a seperate piece that you have to snap on (ours looks like a blue rectangle).

I STRONGLY recommend getting either the AC adaptor or the rechargable battery kit (both sold seperately). This toy eats batteries like crazy!
