I've been looking for a Kettler tricycle for my son and though I wanted to get the "top of the line" air navigator I noticed in my local for sale ads someone selling a Kettler Jumbo (with air tires) for $50. They said that it has a push bar and has only been used 5-6 times. Is this a good tricycle for a 1.5 year old and is that a good price. Thank you for your help.

The Jumbo retails for about $150, so yes, for a very lightly used one $50 is an excellent price. Though I don't think a Jumbo actually has air tires. Whatever the case, nab it quick.

I bought this for my son when he was around 18 mos, back in 2003. Ours does in fact have air tires, I think we paid something around $160 new. My son could not reach the pedals at 18 mos, it was more used as a glorified stroller (it is adjustable, but even in the shortest setting he could not reach).

Anyhow, my daughter, now 2, is using and loving the tricycle! It must be sized a little big because at two she can't reach the pedals...although she is very close (she is super-short though).

In answer to your question, $50 for an air Jumbo is a super deal, you will mostly push it for the next year or so, but I'm sure you will get lots of use out of it! I say go for it.
