Does anyone have any suggestions for storing outgrown baby gear like swings, bassinets and bouncers? I have some XXL zip lock bags that the bouncer just fits into, but I would like to know if there are even bigger bags or other solutions people have found to protect the outgrown gear from dust, etc. for the next baby while it's hanging around in the basement.

We found a gigantic Rubbermaid container (like one that you would keep on your deck, maybe a bit smaller) and that holds our bouncer, infant car seat and many other things. Other things are not so beautifully stored- aka they are stacked on top of that box.

We use the moving plastic wrap from the Uhaul store. I like that it fits to any size that you need it.
I think we have the 15" wide.

I use an old sheet to cover the cradle and a large lawn bag to cover the swing (it just fits).

Um we don't put stuff into anything. It sits in the open in the attic and storage unit. Is that bad?

Do you have any friends that are having babies soon? That's where I "store" my big baby items. :)

Wrap it all in saran wrap(plastic wrap). We used about a roll and a half on the bassinet and nothing is getting into that thing. We also wrapped the swing and the infant car seat. I know we should to the same to the exersaucer. Oh,we wrapped the bouncing seat also. It's a great technique, keeps everything clean as a whistle. Dh suggested it. Apparently it's what they do to the heavy equipment in the fish canneries in alaska when the season is over.
When you're ready to use the item again just cut the saran wrap off. HTH
