Does anyone have experience with the Graco Comfort Sport, or has anyone seen a review of this seat? I believe it is the first convertible car seat sold under the Graco name, although it is meant to be a replacement for the Century Accel.

The Britax does not seem to work well in my car - 1989 (no typo), 2-door VW Gulf. The Comfort Sport seemed to fit better, but I am somewhat uncomfortable buying a new seat before it has been reviewed. Any other non-Britax recommendations. I imagine we will buy a new car before my son outgrows this car seat, so we may be able to take advantage of the LATCH system.

The Comfort Sport is essentially a Century Accel with the addition of LATCH. The Accel is a fairly inexpensive model with many features for the price. It also tends to fit well with many children and vehicles. It won't have all the features of the Britax, but it will be very safe. Also see:

Good luck!

I have the beigy-green and black velour one from TRU, I think it was $69 or $79. We are using it for rear facing and so far I hate it! We have installed it in my 98 Grand Prix and I can't really access the harness adjuster on the front of the seat as it is buried in the back of my backseat. We ended up pulling the straps on the back of the seat and then pulling on the front harness adjuster to get it tight enough on our son .We installed it in husband's 98 Ford F150 and it is a little more accessible, but not much. I'm looking at about another 6 months of this and thinking I'm going to get a Britax RA or MA as we have tried those in our vehicles and the front harness adjuster is a lot more accessible! It's worth the extra money just to avoid the aggravation!!! The Graco seat would be ok when it is front facing but I hate struggling with it now.
