Hi,
I have read and researched and am more uncertain as to what carseats/boosters to get. I have a 3.5 year old who weighs 40 lbs and is 41" tall. I also have a 3 month old who weighs almost 20 lbs and is 26" long. They are both outgrowing their respective carseats. We bought the Alpha Omega around 2 years ago hoping it would really be the beginning and the end....yeah right. Due to what I have read we have decided not to use it as a booster seat. My delimma is this...Should I purchase a Britax Marathon and put my 3.5 year old in it and then put my infant in the Alpha Omega, but is that a good idea for my infant? I know the Alpha Omega is a pain to use due to the twisty straps, but I have it and it is still safe. I have to really work at it, but thought I could stand to use it awhile until I could move my oldest to a booster seat and then move my youngest to the Marathon. Then the question then is what booster seat do I go with?
OR
Should I move my 3.5 year old to a booster seat and put my infant in the Marathon? Sorry so wordy. I just am at a point of frustration..
Thanks for any help and advice,
KG

I'd do your first scenario. Buy a Marathon for your 3 year old, and put the baby in the AO. When your 3 year old starts to outgrow the MA, it can be passed along to the baby.

When your oldest child is 5 or so, I'd suggest trying the AO as a booster. At that age, your child may not need the shoulder belt adjuster at all, and may actually fit that seat as a booster. CU's big problem with this seat in booster mode was the shoulder belt adjuster. If your child is comfortable with the shoulder belt properly resting half way between edge of shoulder and neck, you don't need an adjuster.

If that doesn't work, you can check around then to see what boosters are available. It will have changed!
