My Marathon will not tighten as it should. I bought my seat on the internet at babycatalog.com. Should I call them or call Britax? I am afraid that my son may not be safe. Are they waiting for our babies to get injured before they organize a recall? I am going out tomorrow to get another seat. I spent so much on that seat and I can't beleive that it isn't as safe as I expected.

you might have the same issue/problem that many of us here have had (or are still having). do a searh on marathon on this board, and read what comes up. the information you read will help you when you make the phone call.
judging from other moms' posts here, the response from britax may be unsatisfactory to you, so i would try calling babycatalog.com first and see what kind of customer service you get.

When did you buy your marathon from babycatalog.com? I ask b/c I recently got one from there as a shower gift and it appears to not have the issues as the earlier manufactured ones other people have been having problems with. Since the baby isn't here yet I can't really test it out and I'm worried that I will have a problem when the time comes for me to use the seat. I did look at it carefully and it appears to be free of the issues mentioned in other posts.
I would call babycatalog.com and express your concern. Let me know how it turns out. Good Luck!!!
