Hi - not sure if this is the right section to post this question....

Looking to purchase car window shades for the backseat of our car - heard that the roller shades are a bad deal---not safe either with the suction cups potentially falling off. I have seen the sheets of cling on window covers on people's car windows...but can't find out where to buy them??? Look good also because you could still roll your windows down when needed. Can anyone help?

Thank you,
Karen

Hmmm. I found some at Target. BRU or TRU are also possibilities, and I bet that Wal-Mart has them too.

We got some at BRU. However, we weren't real pleased with the final result. It's very had to get them on without bubbles visible from outside the car. Good luck.

You can get them at BRU and possibly at TRU. You cannot, however, roll your windows down with them on. And it's virtually impossible to apply them without having bubbles all over the place. The window and cling must be really clean in order for it to stick. Also, DS has removed his so much that it's just off permanently (unless I care to wash it again), I don't even bother with his anymore. DD's is still up. I do like them, though. They do seem to work alright. HTH!

I got a winnie-the-pooh one at Walmart and a FP one at BRU. I like the FP one better because it is brighter colors and seems to block more light. I do roll the windows down with these. No problem. But, I'm thinking about buying a roll of tinting instead because they don't cover the whole window. I saw some in the skymall catalog, but it wasn't cheap. I can't find it on the website, but it is something like this:

You could probably find something like this at Walmart in the Auto department. I'm going to look for it myself. BTW, the ones you apply have instructions (immerse in warm water and apply with a straight edge, like a ruler.) that should cut down on the air bubbles.

Our SUV has tinted rear windows. Do I still need a window shade?
