View Full Version : Safe infant seat and a compatable stroller
I have been searching the stores for a car seat that is safe and can match a good stroller. My research indicates the Graco Snugride is one of the best out there, however the strollers have not recieved such great ratings in terms of quality.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a first time mom to be???:)

Go with a Graco Snugride and a Kolcraft Universal Car Seat carrier. Then, when baby outgrows the Snugride, you can buy a nice stroller that suits your needs and not have to worry about infant seat compatibility.
Or swing over to the stroller board and read up about some of the strollers that hold any infant seat!

I had a Graco Snugride and was very happy with it, so I would definitely recommend it. Instead of getting a Graco stroller (which was very heavy and not durable according to friends that had one), I got a Combi Ultra Savvy with the "Perfect Match" system and thought it worked well for securing the Snugride. A few months later, I found a Peg Perego Pliko stroller at a great price and found that the Snugride fit securely in it (although this was not technically the correct way to use it). Whatever you choose, there are better options out there than Graco strollers.

Thanks! That's also a great way to put the stroller shopping on hold!
Thanks! It's unfortunate this cannot be a simple task...good, safe infant seat and good stroller. What are these companies thinking?
