I received a free one from BabyCatalog when I got my Marathon and was wondering if these are safe to use?

I've heard opinions on this one either way. Some people don't like to put anything in between the base of the seat and the car's seat. Others like to use gripper (shelf liner) on leather seats. Our instructors and senior checkers tell us to leave them when people come in with them in their cars. I will say that I don't think they are really necessary. Food and stuff is still going to get on your seat. If you are wanting to protect your leather seats, gripper would be what I would recommend although I have seen it actually melt into the seat before. If you really want to use it, I'd say go ahead but make sure your seat is properly installed and you don't get a false sense of it being tight because of the seat protector.

I was wondering about this too. At least your got your Super Mat. Ours is on backorder. Does this mean that with leather seats we should use a gripper? We just installed our Wizard in the Park Avenue last night (good fit by the way, center backseat, tethered) and even though it feels tight, I was wondering about possible slippage on the leather seat. Perhaps the Super Mat would accomplish the same thing?
