Britax Marathon

I have pretty much decided on purchasing the Britax Marathon based on all the messages I've read on this board.

I have 2 questions though:
1. Where can I get the best deal on the Marathon?
2. If the Marathon only has 1 buckle position, how can older kids fit into it? (How can the same buckle position fit a baby of 15 pounds and an older kid of 40 pounds?) Anybody who has an older kid, tell me how s/he fits into it.

My 5 yo fits just fine in the crotch position. I suppose for very tiny babies, the safe recommendation to roll up a small towel and put it in front of the crotch strap is fine, though I haven't heard of little babies not fitting in it, either. A *few* boys have had a minor complaint or two about the crotch strap position when they first get the seat, but they get used to it quickly and don't complain more than once or twice, fortunately.

So, all in all, stragely enough, the crotch strap somehow works for all kids just fine :) (Moms with seats with VERY LONG crotch straps, like fisher price seats or the evenflo triumph, really have to learn to loosen the shoulder harness a lot to ease buckling at the shorter crotch strap)

It expired on Dec 31st, was ebates10, or cabin10. If you have time and you can wait, here are two reliable coupon codes sites: couponcabin.com and currentcodes.com.

Hi, I just ordered a Marathon from BabyAge.com in December. All the codes I read about on this board wouldn't work, so I called customer service. Although I had to wait on hold about 20 minutes, once I got a rep he was very helpful and told me all my codes had expired, but he gave me another 10% code to use (edeal10). So if you can't find anything, it's worth the call and the wait to get the rep on the line.
