Okay - my husband has a 1998 Honda Accord. We have a SnugRide base installed in the middle of the back seat. The seat was installed with help from a CPS tech - they used a noodle and some shelf liner (leather upholstery).

Last week, though, we noticed that the base is uneven - it looks like the seatbeld (it's the shoulder belt kind, not just the lap belt) is pulling the base up so that it's crooked.

How can we resolve this? Neither the SR manual or the owner's manual helps. The shoulder belt is locked, but we can't get it to stop pulling.

TIA!

Hi Teri. This is a common problem when you lock the retractor on a seat belt when installing a rear-facing seat. You'll have to uninstall the base and reinstall it using a locking clip. This time, *don't* lock the retractor--the locking clip will keep the lap portion of the seat belt tight. If you do it correctly, it shouldn't be easy to rebuckle after you get the locking clip on the seat belt, so make sure you don't try it by yourself initially.

Here's a web page to show you how to do it: http://www.carseatsite.com/lockingclips.htm
