I can't decide! I was always leaning towards the Marathon, but I keep hearing how HUGE it is, so now I'm wondering if we should go with the Roundabout. Just so you know, he'll be in his Graco Snugride until he outgrows it. Any suggestions for me?
Thanks!

The Marathon goes to 65 pounds and the Roundabout only goes to 40. It depends on how your child grows and whether you want to purchase a carseat and then puchase another one before you get a true booster seat. IMO the Marathon is your best bet. DH and I have one that we use in a volvo and a camry and it is big, but not so big that no one else can sit in the backseat.

Go for the Marathon. You can use it for much longer. You will really get your money's worth.
Don't worry about the size. It won't take up any more room front to back than your Snugride does.
What kind of car do you have?
Edited to add: Since you're not due till next month, don't buy it until you need it! Britax seats have a life of six years. You don't want the clock ticking while the box sits in your garage.

Hi! I drive a Dodge Ram and DH drives a Pacifica, so I don't think either car will be an issue, both have big back seats. I actually found a really great price on a Marathon and that's why I want to buy it now since we'll need it soon anyway.
Thanks!

You'll find the same deal when you need it later, don't worry about that. Unless you found it for less than $175, the deal can almost definitely be found again. You'll lose a lot of shelf life if you buy it now. Plus if you wait there may be something you like better.

ITA - the Marathon is the way to go from a height perspective too. But no point in giving up almost a year of its shelf life - you'd have to find an amazing deal to make that worthwhile (Marathons are frequently available for $185-195, I doubt you found it much cheaper than that unless it is an old floor model).

I would also wait and see how big your child is. Also, there amy be a cuter cover in a year, or a better, safer model, who knows?
Also, Shelf life is 6 years, and I know it sounds long but if you have more than one child, it is actually VERY important (seats get passed on to the next child).
