Outboard seatbelt intall (w/ shoulder strap, there's no latch) - Can I tether it to the seat track underneath the seat? I couldn't tether it to the front passenger seat track b/c it's used everyday and wouldn't go back far enough (even w/ removing the cap).

Also, the belt goes thru the holes on the side and under the carseat cover? That's what we did, but it smushes the harness buckle strap.

ETA: The lockoff clips won't stay shut.

Thanks!

Yes, tether it to the seat track. Anything that is bolted to the frame of the car.

The belt can go under or over the cover, whichever is easier for you. Pull the harness buckle out, though. It shouldn't be going over that. Also, that first layer of foam is supposed to be on top of the belt also, but it's not a big deal if it isn't. It's really just a comfort issue.

The lockoffs are tough. I kinda wiggle my seat toward the front of the car a little so that the belts are flat in the lockoff, close the lockoff, and then push the seat back towards the back of the car.

HTH!!

You don't need the lock-off if your seatbelt has the switchable locking mechanism. But if you do use the lock-off, I find that it would help to spread the double harness out the entire length of the lock-off instead of having both webbing perfectly lined up with one on top of the other. Kwim?
