Graco Snugride Canopy

Do you leave the canopy extended when the car seat is in it's base? Or should the canopy be retracted because it's a crash hazard?

It's ok to leave it up in the car. It's ok to even leave the handle up in the carry position in the car...Graco has tested their seats extensively to make sure those parts won't be dangerous in a crash...phew!
