My ds2 is 23+ lbs right now at 3 months old. He is projected to be 30 lbs by 6 months. I am anticipating my ds2 is going to be a heavy toddler, so I am trying to accomodate for that when I buy a 2nd carseat for my older 2 1/2 yo who is 37"+ 34 lbs. Is the Cosco Alpha Elite Apex the only one for heavy toddlers with a harness limit of 65 lbs? And where has the best deals? Thanks for your advice.
Reposted because no-one responded to my first post.

All the big Britax ones go to 65 pounds, as well as the Safeguard Go (but you MUST have LATCH, both anchors and tethers)
The Apex/Alpha Elite requires that you have tall seat backs and/or headrests, as the child's head cannot go above the VEHICLE seat. As a booster... I think it's not that great. It's a nice seat harnessed, it really is. Very plush and nice straps. But as a booster it kinda sucks. It's also very wide, almost as wide as the Regent.
Which brings up the Regent. It you have top tethers, it will harness to 80 pounds and has the highest top slots on the market. It's about $240. The Apex is around $130.

*Britax Marathon, Decathlon, and Boulevard go to 65 lbs harnessed and are both RF and FF seats.
*Britax Rgent if FF only and goes to 80 lbs harnessed.
*Fisher Price Safe Voyage goes to 55 lbs harnessed.

Just wanted to add a couple of details about the Safeguard Go:
It is harnessed for 30 to 60 lbs. FF only and then converts to a backless booster for 40-100 lbs. The Go also requires the vehicle seatback to have head support (like the Apex), it can be also be installed with the seatbelt when harnessed but also must be top tethered, and it can use the lower LATCH anchors up to 60 lbs. harnessed, and it can also use the lower LATCH anchors in backless booster mode.
(edited to correct a couple of typos and clarify the LATCH usage)
