My DS isn't quite to the outgrowing point, but he is in the top slot of our RA (FF), and getting taller. His ears aren't really near the top though. If he gets tall enough that the shoulder straps end up being below his shoulders (as opposed to "at or above"), does that mean he has outgrown it? Or can the straps go below his shoulders until his ears reach the top of the seat? Hope that question even makes sense. If the shoulder straps really need to be at or above his shoulders, we may be outgrowing it sooner than we hoped.

Thanks,

Yeah, his shoulders really shouldn't be above the top slots by much, if any. Make sure the cover hasn't drooped down making the slots look lower than they are (poke through to the plastic, it's the slots in the plastic that can't go below his shoulders).

Thanks Julie. We're ok for now, but DS has a long torso, and I suspect it will happen fairly soon. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to buy a new seat until I could pass the RA down to DC #2, but DC#2 isn't even conceived yet so the RA may sit in my basement for a while...
