I'm a first time mom, and am having trouble deciding between the Graco Sungride, Chicco Keyfit, or Britax Companion infant seats.
Any suggestions to make my choice easier?

What car do you drive? The installation issues might be a factor. In general it's a coin flip between the Key Fit and Safeseat1 for easiest installation in most cars :)

I drive a VW New Beetle, husband drives a Toyota 4Runner (SUV). Both are fairly new and have LATCH.
We'd probably get bases for both cars and just move the seat in and out.

Any seat will install fine, then, it'll just be a matter of how much front passenger space you will lose (probably more in the beetle than the 4runner). And in that case, they are all about the same (Key Fit or Snugride might be a touch shorter than the safeseat1, though I sit in front of a SS1 in my car and there's plenty of room to drive in front of it.

I would go with a Chicco Key Fit or a Graco Safe Seat 1

We have the Britax Companion and *love* it. It was easy to install, just pop it in and out of the base, and DS was very comfortable in it. Especially w/ the extra side impact protection. We saw so many ppl w/ infant seats, mostly snugrides that had a blanket rolled up to support their infant's head, but we didnt need that ;). We personally love our Britax.
Enjoy shopping and Congrats on the pregnancy!
