hey everyone,
don't worry, we're still committed Regent users. But 1-2x per week DD gets a ride from preschool to a playdate and then back home. Our "extra" seats we have for other kids to ride in and for use on days like these are the Safeguard GO (too hard for the playdate mom to install correctly) and the Recaro Young Style. I'm not confident she's buckling the Style correctly- the belt MUST be pushed down over the child's lap through the arm rests. So I'm torn- do I buy yet another seat for these situations (I'm thinking a failproof Parkway) or do I give the mom a tutorial (which I already have a few times) AGAIN with the Style.
That said, if I get the parkway, does anyone have any comments on the fabric- Tiffany vs Granite? I know the Granite is more "nubby", could that also mean it might be cooler (I'm thinking more tiny little spaces for air to be in)? I've never seen the Tiffany in person, my guess is the pink is a dense plush velour and the floral a lighter weight polyester print (not plush). ? Fabric textures aside, I'm thinking about an appropriate pattern for DD who turns 5 soon. Would the Tiffany look too "little girlish"? Or does anyone out there have a child around this age who loves her pink booster? Would the granite look like more of a "bigger kid" seat? I'm not TOO worried about that aspect of it since she's in a Regent ad infinitum :) DD is just really sensitive all of a sudden to peer comments and I want to make her ride home the safest and easiest on her as possible. When she rides home with other people I ALSO want her in the safest booster with the most failproof way of getting her buckled in.
Any thoughts would be welcomed!
TIA!
Amy :)
