Britax Marathon: Help, can't decide which fabric, Racer/Plat/Onyx?

Hi, just about to buy a Britax Marathon but am stumped as far as which fabric to get. I can't seem to find any good large pics of the Racer version which is being offered at a lower price on travelingtikes.com. Platinum is offered at BRU and Onyx elsewhere.

Would any one have any pics of the Racer up close and their experience with any other fabrics. Some of the dark colors we're worried about being in the sun during the summer, do they get really hot?

We have the Onyx. I haven't seen the others IRL. I really like the Onyx. We haven't had any problems with it getting too hot. We do live in the Pacific Northwest, so not very hot.

I have gray interior and like that it matches, but right now we have the Ashley Floral on the seat in my car and DD will NOT let me change it. She is a girly girl and loves it.

The Platinum one at BRU isn't plush in the middle. It is a "slicker" fabric. I personally don't like it.

Personally I would get the Greystone over the Onyx because I like the plush feeling rather than the "slick" one. I also think it would feel better in hot weather, esp. on bare legs.

Ok, now I'm even more confused and driving my husband crazy because I can't decide which fabric to pick and I really want to be happy with what I buy since it's going to last so long. I saw the Platinum again and didn't like the nylon part in the middle, I've decided the softer fabric would be nicer through out the whole seat so now I'm torn between the Greystone or Granite.

Can someone confirm the Greystone is the plush fabric throughout the seat cover and what your thoughts are? Thank you!!
