Can anyone recommend one of those warm cozy things that can be used instead of a coat/snowsuit that goes inside the infant car seat? I've seen great, warm-looking ones with neat patterns in other infant carriers, but I'm not sure where you get them. Just trying to get ready for a few baby showers coming up... Thanks.

You might want to post this on the car seat board. It is important not to have something padded underneath the baby in a car seat - this will make it tougher to tighten the straps and the looser straps could lead to serious injuries in a crash. Anything that goes over the car seat, however, is fine - why not just give a nice, soft fleece blanket?

That said, I believe that BRU carries these on-line.

My BRU had several different types, including ones tht just fit over the outer edge of the carseat (so nothing was underneath baby). That being said, I used the Cozy Traveller (which did have a thin fleece layer underneath baby, but I chose to use anyway) and I thought it was fabulous. It was no thicker than a fleece sweater or top would be. It was also only $20, rather than some I have seen on-line for $40 and $50 and up. I think the ones that fit over the carrier were made by Nojo.

I got a fleece cover from One Step Ahead and loved it! It came with a snap off top (never used the top, dd was too little and she would have been completely covered.) The back is thin (thinner than a coat/snowsuit)and I was able to adjust the car seat straps with no problem. The cover is navy blue and reverses to gray. I think it was about $30.....it was well worth the money! Good luck and I hope this helps!

They also have a Bundle Lite for warmer climates. Good luck.
