To those of you who own or have seen a Valco Rebel, could you comment on the fold & weight? I know it's a fairly bulky & heavy stroller. Can you take the seat off & put two pieces into the trunk? I wouldn't be putting it in & out of the car a whole lot, but maybe once a week for outings to the zoo, lake, etc. Is this realistic? It's so hard to decide w/o seeing them IRL!
As always, I appreciate your input.

I think if you are only going to put it in your trunk once or twice a week, you wont have a problem with it.

I lifted it in and out of my suburban a few times a week, and it was still not too bad.

It is bulky in fold, and it seems better to take the seat off in smaller spots.... weight is of course a issue. But the stroller totally makes up for it's weight in it's features and maneuverability.
I would rather lift a heavy stroller, and have super easy 1 hand steering.

I'll just chime in...I have a runabout, similar in size & weight to the Rebel. It is pretty bulky, though I don't find the weight all that much of a problem. I think it would get to be a problem if I had to take it in and out of the car several times a day, every day, or to use it on little stop and go errands. But for an outing like those you describe, I wouldn't mind spending an extra minute or two dealing with the bulk and weight. I think it's a great stroller for trips to the zoo, little trail walks, farms, etc.

The only other factor I can think of is what kind of car you have. I have a wagon, so the back of my car is big and open. I think it might be a little more difficult to lift the stroller in and out of the trunk of a sedan, though still not too bad for the occasional trip.

Thank you both for your helpful replies. Can you believe I am actually thinking of what kind of vehicle we should get based on the stroller? We do need to get a new vehicle & but I didn't think, "will the stroller fit...." would be a criteria!
