We're heading out to a beach house for vacation at the end of the month. Can anyone recommend a beach jogger-type stroller (3 wheels - I'm not a jogger so they can be less than 16 in.) with a locking swivel front tire and a good canopy that comes almost down to the child to protect her from the sun? DD is 12 months. I just looked at the Valco and the canopy doesn't look large enough in the picture.
Oh, and I've seen the aftermarket sun visor that adds on but it doesn't work as well as I'd like. I'd rather find a beach stroller with a really good sunshade (like my P3 & Bumbleride). Does it exist?
TIA!

Bob Revolution. Love that stroller, I wish they made it in a double :(

I live at the beach, and have tried the BOB Revolution and the Kool Stride senior w/ 20" alloy wheels in soft-packed sand. The KS beat the wheels off it! The BOB wasn't too bad; definitely better than the MBUS. And the MBUS is better than everything else, lol! But if I really want to walk on the sand, I would choose the Kool Stride, or the old Baby Jogger. (I haven't tried out the new ones, so I don't really know if their performance is the same.)

You heard it from strollerqueen and she knows her stuff, and in my relentless research on the BOB Revolution, I've seen several posts raving about Kool Stride's superb performance in the sand. If you are really going to be on the beach, in the deep sand, I think the 12" front wheel of the BOB will slow you down. I've also seen a recent post about a sale on Kool Stride's somewhere, maybe strollerqueen knows.
Have fun, a beach house vacation sounds like a great break.

Oooh, I didn't realize that the Kool Stride senior had a locking swivel wheel.
I'm going to have to check that one out, since we go to the beach a couple times a month.

No, the Kool Stride has a fixed wheel, which is far superior than a swivel on sand, rugged terrain, cobblestones, etc.
