I would like to get a new stroller for DS to store in DH's car, since he'll be driving him a lot more than in the past. I have an SC Micro in my car which I've been very happy with and would like something similar in most respects for DH's car. The main thing that I would like different would be that I would want it to fold more compactly. I like the umbrella fold but it seems to be really long when folded, and DH's car doesn't seem to have a great place to store a long stroller. A traditional fold would be ok too, as long as it wasn't too wide when folded. I really don't want a new stroller to take up a lot of trunk space, basically. But I don't want a crappy $15 umbrella stroller that is so short it is barely usable. Reasonably price would be nice (around $100 or less). DS is probably under 30 lbs. and maybe 35-36" tall if that matters. Thanks for any ideas you can give me!

How about a smaller Mac Laren or a Chicco?

How about a Maclaren Volo? Don't know if your dh is tall, but the Macs are typically good for taller parents. And their steer beautifully.

Maclarens are very tall when folded, too. So it doesn't make a difference from the SC.
The only stroller I can think of is a Combi. It's a little shorter when folded. Not much, though.

I'd test a folded Mac in your cars. My Zippy wouldn't fit lengthwise in my station wagon, but my Mac Quest does. My Zooper Z-Street did too, but those are a little harder to find in person. A Quinny Zapp would fit anywhere, maybe there's one on swap?

Thanks for the ideas so far. I have heard Combis are hard to steer with a toddler, so I am not so sure about them. The Mac Quest looks promising but still a little large maybe. I'll have to try and find it IRL. The Quinny Zapp looks really cool...but I'm afraid it will end up being a lot more than I want to spend. I'll keep my eye out though. If anyone else has more ideas, please keep them coming!
