Is this a bad deal?:

I think Marilyn offers it for $260 shipped. Frankly, I'd rather give her my business.

I'm confused with the European/American Hip Hop and specs for the P3--is there a difference?

I don't really care for the HH fabric in all the online stock photos. Some of the IRL pics have done much more for me... I'm just totally hooked on having an orange stroller! :)

Can all you P3 HH owners verify for me that I should take the plunge? I'd love to see more photos (especially outside!).

thanks--

I have a P3 in Hip Hop and I love it. I've only see one other one ever, so it's kind of nice to have a unique stroller. I have lots of pics of it. My son lives in his P3, as we're always out and about taking his older brother and sister different places. Here are a few:

Oh--My--God-- a HH P3 owner and a HA lover? It must be a sign! :) I recently discovered Hanna (thanks to BBB, of course). Now I'm an addict. :) Luckily for me (sadly for my bank account), I have 2 stores within a 20 minute drive from me here in Chicagoland.

btw--Zeke looks perfect in that HH with his Gymbo sea gear on. :)

Do you find that the top of the hood gets dirty? That's my biggest concern with this fabric. It's really nice to see the pictures outside--I think it shows the true color better.

Thanks for the compliments. I don't have any HA stores around here, but I do need to restrain myself. Of course when they have their twice a year sale, I go a little crazy.

Luckily, I have a daughter, otherwise I'd be thoroughly disappointed with HA.

Anyway, I forgot to tell you that I bought my HH from Marilyn, and she was wonderful to deal with.

I don't find that the hood gets really dirty, except when DH spills coffee on it or something. The seat gets dirtier, but that's because Zeke eats all the time in his stroller (the life of a third child). I just put both the seat and the whole hood into my washer on handwash cycle, and then let them drip dry. I generally don't let the hood spin, but I have once or twice when I've forgotten to get it out, and it was fine. I just worry about the plastic bows in it.

Good luck! If you like orange, you'll love the hip hop. It's not as orangy as the orange bugaboo.

With shipping you'd actually pay more from the ebay seller. I'd just buy it from Marilyn if that were the case. I've had my eye on a Hip Hop P3 for a while and have been looking for a good deal too. I am hooked on having an orange stroller too!

Unfortunately for Amy, that would mean there would be another Hip Hop P3 in Hoboken when I come home to see my mom :)

Well, I saw the thing IRL! I was very happy with the shade of orange, like you explained... and I did catch a glimpse of the construction-zone-orange frog: wow. I was even happier with the shade of tan on it--in many of the online pictures, it looks cream. And, of course, being an Illini fan, the blue stripe was just icing on the cake for me. :)

I ordered from Marilyn on my way home! She said I should expect it on Wednesday. I can't wait. :) Now... to just sell my old P3...

About HA--I just recently discovered them, so I haven't done too much damage yet. I just keep reminding myself to buy only the stuff that really and truly isn't made elsewhere. The playdresses are worth it, I think--they're cute, and durable for so many washings. The wiggle pants in the special designs (striped with the animals/bugs on the rump) are so sweet, so I'll pay for that. But carters makes the plain ones, and I can't see spending that kind of money for just ordinary pants for a couple of months!

I do love those rompers, though--I have 2 of them for ds in an 80 for next summer. We have an outlet not far from us--I was able to get the french blue floppy sun hat for $1! I had a $5 coupon, so I joked to dh that, "They gave me 4 bucks to take this thing home!" :)

I'll let you know how much I love the HH when it comes in--and thanks again for posting those pictures for me to see. I really appreciate it!

Hi, Daniele-- I just ordered my HH P3 from Marilyn a couple hours ago! I think I should receive it Wednesday, so I'm really excited. I saw it IRL today and was really happy with the tan color that is on it. In most of the online pics, it looks like a cream (too light).

Go for it! :)

Hi, Amy--

A quick question... what diaper bag did you get for the HH? I definitely want a blue bag... do you think the blue camo SH would look ridiculous? Because I think it's kind of funny and want to get it... :) But a blue ice dash, navy duo... hmm. I have a duo and really really like it (red for my red e3), but I wonder if I should experiment with the dash or expo.

thanks!

Could someone please provide me with the website for Marilyn?

Thanks

Actually, I have two diaper bags that I think look pretty good with the HH. I have a Navy Dash, and also a Sling tote in Aqua Stripe. I don't have a pic of the Navy Dash with the stroller, but here's the sling tote. I also have a beige and orange kecci, but I really haven't used that one yet.

Yes, that aqua stripe looks really pretty! I bet it looks even better IRL, too--because the blue stripe in the HH fabric shows up as white with the flash from the camera.

I didn't mention, I don't think, that my dh and I went to the Univ. of IL for undergrad and grad--so we're major Illini fans. We were truly heartbroken during the end of March Madness this year! So I'm especially proud to be (soon) sporting an orange stroller around the neighborhood. :) And that's also why I think we really need a blue diaper bag!
