I need to find a lightweight stroller that i can throw in the back of my trunk for my 3 yr old. I have a P3 right now for my new baby that is due in May. But my daughter who will be 3 end of July hates to be put shopping cart or stroller. with regular umbrella stroller she will slouch forward and drag her feet. But I need something to keep her contained becuase she runs around crazy if allowed to be walking. What stroller would you suggest? I dont want to spend to much but i want it to work well for her.

Thanks

I honestly don't think a stroller is the answer, especially if she does not cooperate now. I'd recommend getting some kind of harness for her instead.

You could try a few things. A harness is my first suggestion, though I know many parents oppose them. You could allow her to ride in the P3 and sling the baby. Or you can allow her to ride on the steps of the P3 though at not quite 3 she may find this difficult.

If you get a double stroller, I would get something sbs (could be a used Maclaren double or something else- not sure how big your trunk is, what is locally available to try, etc.). This way she can be near the baby and also be able to interact with you. This may entice her to stay put more often.

Just remember this stage will pass eventually. :-)

(((((Cindy))))) I can't believe you are about to head back! I will email you from work. Yahoo and my lousy dial up are NOT friends. ;-)

Which regular umbrella stroller have you tried? The $20 Kolcraft is not nearly as comfy as a Maclaren Volo, so you might want to try that...comfy, good footrest, 5 pt harness...
I think those little walking harnesses with the dogs or monkeys on the backs are adorable, too (my dd doesn't want to walk yet, but when she does, I'm SO getting one...it's a backpack too, lol).
