OK, post your peanut-free halloween ideas here. DD tested +ve for peanuts on her scratch tests, plus her daycare is peanut/nut free.

I know Mars bars are now peanut free, and I think aero bars are too? Nutrigrain bars, some Quaker granola bars, fruit snacks, fruit leather....

I need some ideas for the daycare goodie bags!! :)

TIA

What about something not candy? I'm thinking something along the lines of pencils, stickers, etc. The kids will be pretty overloaded with sugar so I think the other parents might appreciate non-sugary goodies.

Yes, I am already doing the following:
Halloween stickers
Halloween fold-out paper figures
Halloween superballs
Halloween slinkys
Halloween temporary tattoos
all in a Halloween trick-or-treat bag.

Last year, I did Welch's fruit snacks, lollipops, fruit leather.

I will look for individual bags of goldfish (I did the Ritz scuba crackers for DD's birthday bags), mini oreos -- great ideas.

We are a no-candy household, but the other parents always send candy, and I can only buck the trend so much, KWIM???

Thanks!

A friend of mine found tiny cans of Playdoh! She got a big bag of them at Costco and I have since seen them at TRU also. I thought it was a neat non-candy idea!

In the M&M flyer (that starts on Saturday) they have a box of 50 single serve hot chocolate packs that would be great for Halloween. $9.99 I think. We are getting one case for the little ones that come to our door. I don't like the idea of giving toddlers candy that is a choking hazard. Although, they may not drink hot chocolate either, but at least that's safe.

I will keep the hot chocolate and playdoh ideas for next year.

I got some mini-graham wafers and some fruit leather as the "treats". I may break down and put in one chocolate bar, we'll see. The bags are super full with the non-food items already. I think I'm good to go!

Thanks again!
