In case anyone is looking for these in (Western) Canada....
I called around last week to every large chain pharmacy (London Drugs, Shoppers Drug Mart) trying to find any brand of temporal artery thermometer. I spoke directly to pharmacists. NONE of them had a clue what I was talking about. I had resigned myself to picking one up in the US next trip.
Well, they ARE listed on the London Drugs website (the $79.99Cdn Vicks one). And, Exergen, the main manufacturer in the US lists Shoppers Drug Mart as a Canadian distributor.
Anyway, last night I was at Walmart, in the pharmacy, not even looking for one of these things (just planning on getting more lens covers for the ear thermometer we have) and what do I see? THREE, yes, 3 different brands of temporal artery thermometer -- the Vicks one ($74.99), a no name one for $29.99 and the Exergen one for $41.99.
I got the Exergen one as it is highly rated in the US.

Much cheaper now in the US since the price rollback, but hey, I'm used to paying double here. :(
