DS will be 3 in about 3 weeks. I am on a desperate search for a non-screened train table - something like this

http://www.tystoybox.com/2200/26479/1973103/25984/1

rather than this

http://www.sears.ca/gp/product/B000LQQL60/sr=1-6/qid=1177022092/ref=sr_1_6/002-3896214-5127222?ie=UTF8&searsBrand=core&mqnodeid=16362251

I've heard Costco in the US carries one. We don't have a membership but if I knew for sure they had a good table I'd get one just for that purpose. Has anyone seen one there?

Also, I've read a lot about using those 40% off Michael's coupons to buy Thomas - but are my eyes just not open or do the Canadian stores not carry Thomas?

Thanks!

Natalie

Sorry - I am missing the difference in the 2 types. There is a nice train table at Toys R Us, in the Imaginarium section. Costco seems to only get tables around Christmas time.

ETA: Have you seen the one at Gracie and Gruff? http://www.gracie-and-gruff.com/ I was just at the MacLeod Trail store tonight and they have a really nice Thomas (or maybe Brio) train table set for $219.

Have you looked at http://www.mastermindtoys.com/ ? I've shopped at their online store and had great experiences.

IIRC the Thomas table comes in two parts - the legs and a few choices of table top. They also have a generic table and sales on Thomas stuff.

There is also Castle Toys in the SE - I swear I've seen trainsets there before.

We got one like the first (same brand IIRC) from Costco in Canada 2 Christmas' ago for DD (who just turned 3). I think they had them this Christmas too, not sure about that. It was around $150 Cdn.
