I just have to bitch on this one...
I placed an order from Gap.com on my Old Navy card last week. I open up my package and one item had the correct size on the bag, but was totally wrong. I call customer service and they order me a new pair of capris on my card and tell me to return the wrong one to a store (hello? It's your mistake!) So I ckeck my e-mail this morning and I get a message that my card was declined on the new order. I have the bill in front of me, they got the last payment in full but two days late and whack me with a $25 fee. I KNOW my bill is due on the 20th or 21st and always pay my bills on time. So I call customer service. After going through menu, after menu, after menu, I get someone on the phone. First, they said the purchase went through no problem and have no clue why I got the e-mail that my card declined. So, I said why I have you on the phone I want this late charge taken off since I mailed my bill in plenty of time. Of course since it is Sunday morning there is no manager that can do it. So I ask "by the way, where am I calling".... INDIA! Gap/Old Navy credit card outsources customer service out of the freakin' country! And to boot there is no supervisor on duty! So now I call customer service at Gap.com about my order being held-up for no reason, but they are only open M-F!
Last time I had an issue with Gap I sent a message for a District Manager to call me (gap on-line listed a maternity location an hour from my house, drove there & no maternity). They had some young customer service rep in Ohio call me and refused to pass along my issue to a higher level. Gap/Old Navy has the worst customer service and I think I will be closing my Old Navy card account!

Oh yes, I feel your pain. I had something to return at The Gap and I had the receipt and everything from an online purchase and they wouldn't take it back because their computers were not working correctly (it had already been a month with that problem) and they couldn't check the item. Unbelievable, and against all consumer protection laws as well. I didn't have time to fight with them because I had to pick up my son, but I am glad I don't live near a Gap anymore.
