View Full Version : This is so not acceptable.

This is not ok with me. I just don't know what's the right course of action. I have a hard time being assertive so I'm trying to push myself. But otoh maybe I should just deal with it & let it slide. It is an awkward situation after all & it is after 1 am.
But if I'm not going to sleep all night over it...
Sorry I'm being so vague. I am incredibly frustrated but don't feel like posting details on a public board would be constructive. But I'm the only one up & have to vent a little.
Now, would DH rather be woken up or have his DW post online....?

hugs! I think we've all been there. Hope you sort it out soon!

nak but if it's not acceptable, he needs to know it. you'll only grow resentful and more hurt by letting it slide.
hugs to you. it's hard sticking up for yourself but worth it in the long run.
I love them most when they are sleeping.--Me

Hugs!!! Sorry you are frustrated and hope you quickly figure out the right way to handle it. Sleep helps! Good luck,
DW and I do enough arguing (tiffs, small spats, what ever you want to call them) that we're able to "let it slide" and we usually feel beter about it in the morning (sort counter-intuituve to that long standing advice I keep hearing over and over, that a husband and wife should NOT go to bed angry).
But when it gets to the point that its affecting your sleep (been there - done that) it's time to NOT let it slide and talk about it.
For me, the "talk" usually begins with something along the lines of "honey, something is bothering me so much that it is effecting my sleeping. I don't know WHY it's bothering me this bad... it really shouldn't, but it is so I need to talk to you about it."

Hey, nice intro idea. Beats the heck out of the more traditional (and offensive) "We need to talk"! LOL

Thanks everyone for your caring & responses. I didn't really think that would make sense to anyone, but was just so frustrated & torn. Over such a minor issue.... I ended up waking DH & we dealt with it breifly at night. Everything always looks less dramatic after a good night's sleep!
