help! our neighborhood is having it's annual summer block party and we are to take an appetizer enough for 20 people (the party's more than 20 but that's what we're to take). any ideas for something fun, EASY, and is okay if it's not kept warm, etc.?

How about spinach dip? We took this to our last block party.
You can buy the dip pre-made. I also buy Shepherds (?) bread, dig out the middle, break the bread into pieces and put around the bread bowl and fill the bowl with the dip. It's yummy and it looks great.

DH is famous in our neighborhood for cocktail franks...lol. The kids love them and frankly, most of the adults eat them up as well. They are ALWAYS the first thing to go. He usually buys a pack of hot dogs (we use Sabretts) and a 4 pack of the Pillsbury biscuits in the weird cans (the kind you find in the dairy section). Throw in a bottle of mustard and voila! Instant hit! Not too fancy though...

7 layer dip? There are many different variations running around out there but I usually start out with refried beans on the bottom, and then layer guacamole, sour cream, cheese, tomatos, and lettuce, with the seventh layer being the optional jalepenos. Or you could start with ground beef at the bottom. Even yummier! Take a bag of chips and you're good to go. Very easy and everyone loves it. GL!

I've made this several times and it's SUPER....and easy too!! I've also seen it called "Confetti Bars" on the McCormick Spice Website.

If you have a Boston Market near you, I use their creamed spinach as my spinach dip (served warm). I serve it with either tortilla chips or bread. People have raved about it.
